Revolutionary Academic Courses with Remote Experimentation

A key objective of the project is to create a remote education platform for nanotechnology that integrates the use of automated liquid handlers, enabling students to conduct hands-on experiments virtually. This approach aims to make high-quality laboratory education more accessible to students regardless of their geographical location, providing real-time experimental data and fostering interactive learning and experimentation.
Automation and robotics are both revolutionary tools that are currently employed in numerous STEM fields especially gaining traction in modern science labs. These days, scientists must harbour multi-discplinary knowledge and be able to take advantage of advanced equipment to perform research.
Remote experimentation is made possible by establishing an access to a remote desktop containing the robot's User Interface (UI) and other relevant computational programs. The students will be able to observe the ongoing manipulations using a rotating camera. A technician will be present to set labware and material from storage for an experiment.
